Located at the far wall of the trainer venue stands a tall wooden box with a door fixed to it's front. If you pace around the box, you will find there is nothing special about it - made with simple pieces of wood and seeming to be put together cleanly. Looking at the front of the door, there is a lone sign that says 'please knock' in bad cursive.
Well? Are you going to knock?

Trudge looked at the door box thing in interest. He had only just noticed it as he was entering the Party and curiosity finally had gotten the better of him and his scotch. He paced around a few times looking at it curiously. It was well built with Teak and Mahogany, two very dark and tough woods that were normally hard to break down with a foot. Black lines and dots in the Veneer were seen to make it look old and partially antique like. It worked, it looked at least twenty years older than it probably was. He twirled his Scotch before taking another sip. Although the Box door thing was bolted to the floor, that still didn't stop him from trying to tip it over. With a loud groan he pushed hard, but to no avail. He simply slid down the edge and onto the cold Concrete below.
Giggles of laughter were heard as a few young and hot women looked eagerly at Trudge and his HOT bod. and his determination to find out what the hell this was. Cursing slightly under his breath he scratched his head mindlessly before returning to the front of the entrance where the door was. Please......Knock. Said Trudge aloud as he squinted his eyes to read the letter on the door. He shrugged at this. It was a simple enough request and he knocked a few times firmly to get whomever was insides attention and waited. Was this a trick or a that he would receive.

As soon as the knock was heard being rapped on the door, the door turned outwards slowly and what appeared was none other than a small elderly lady with a shaky hand holding a bowl of candy. She giggled in delight at the sight of someone knocking on her door all dressed up, her cheeks circled with pink blush.
"Why look at you! How darling!" The elderly woman couldn't help but reach out and give an endearing pinch of Trudge's cheek before pulling back, continuing to giggle like most elderly ladies did when amused by simple things. "I have just the treat for you, yes! Here you are, deary!" With that, the elderly lady fumbled her hand within the bowl and handed a number of candies to Trudge before closing the door, returning to the blackness that was stationed behind her.

"I don't get the point of this foolish holiday!"
The small green bird hadn't ceased his complaining since they had left their hotel and started down the dimly lit street. Of course, that could have been because, after donning a tall purple and pink hat and long flowing similarly coloured dress, offset by a strand of dark coloured gems- mimicking Mismagius, she had tossed the little Natu into a ball-like costume, red on top, white on bottom. "Aw hush! You're a pokeball, I could have done much, much worse." She sent him a glare that momentarily silence him, although he continued to mutter under his breath. Oh, Halloween! How it irked her little friend!
She halted however as something to her right caught her gaze. A makeshift building that seemed really out of place with a sloppy sign on the door. "Please knock, eh?" Alex looked down at Edgar, who seemed bored for a moment before realizing her intentions. He jumped high, his wings flailing. "Come now Alex! I'm always kidding when I call you stupid, don't make it true! You're smarter than that- Alex!" Laughing and ignoring his pleas, she walked over to the door, and rapped her knuckles against it a few times, while Edgar hung back on the street curb, watching warily.
"Trick or treat!"

Just a moment after the knock was made against the door, the door swung open with enthusiasm, almost knocking right into the girl and her Pokemon. The person gasped with delight, themselves dressed in a french maid costume which wouldn't have been weird if it hadn't been a male. He gave a flamboyant clap of his hands upon spotting the pair dressed up.
"Oh my gosh! You are, like, too cute! Mismagius! Pokeball! Eeee!" The man gave a little hop in his place, his heels clicking against the ground of the box he was in. He reached into the darkness behind him, his hand bringing out a blue bowl filled with candy. He reached in and handed a handful of the candy out towards the Mismagius-dressed girl. "Here you, like, go! Have a fab halloween!"

. . . . . . . "I dunno. Looks sketchy to me."
Anton and Galahad stood before the wooden box, the former eyeing the door skeptically; the latter, lazily. The sign was surely tempting, and it was Halloween after all. They'd scoped out the curious box for a while (that is, they took note of a few people taking their chances at it while they napped nearby). It seemed harmless enough. Just another venue for freebie candies.
In a half-hearted attempt to get into the Halloween spirit, Anton had donned a pirate hat. That was, however, the extent of his costume, rendering the whole spirit of it rather moot. He hadn't had much of a choice, though. The hat had seemed to follow him wherever he went until he finally relented to donning the gaudy headwear. He had a suspicion is lackadaisical squirtle had snuck it around until he'd finally given in to wearing it.
"Well, what's the worst that could happen. We're mostly out in public here anyway. Wanna give it a shot, bud?" Anton said, nodding toward his partner.
Galahad nodded, marching up to the door and motioning for Anton to follow suit. Anton reached out toward the wooden door, giving a smart rap to the surface, just as the note indicated to do.

Immediately upon hearing the sound, a curious looking girl opened the door, her eyes glazed over with a milky color. She stared ahead blindly, not realizing that the trick-or-treaters were right in front of her. "[color=Hello?" She called, reaching her hand out to see whether there was someone there or whether it was another stupid prank. Her fingertips made contact with the chest of the man that stood before her, and she immediately recoiled, a small gasp parting from her lips. "Oh my goodness!" She cried, blinking rapidly. "Oh, I am so sorry! Um, let me get you some candy," she said before groping for the bowl of rare candies that had positioned right beside the door for her convenience. It took her a few minutes before she found it and picked it up, offering it to the strangers. "You can only take four - anything more is too much." She stated matter-of-factly, waiting for the man to retrieve his candy.

Well, this was embarrassing.
Hale, for most part had a near-zero inclination for fancy dress events, but this was Halloween, and a goddamn Halloween party required that she be dressed to the occasion, and a military get-up wasn’t cutting it. Her mistake however had been to ask her sister for help. Her sister who was everything she wasn’t when it came to the female department. Her sister who was always a head above her in fashion. Her sister who worked at a cabaret in Goldenrod’s uptown district.
Now here she was in a costume which she couldn’t quite decide if it was actually meant for Halloween masquerades or was more at home on some dark stage in a risqué burlesque club.
<The fact that the top hasn’t fallen off surprises me.> the Nidoran who was looking over his reflection on the linoleum floor quipped as he shot her a naughty little smirk. The spiny, saurian lapine was murder to dress up for the event, but he had been so goddamn adamant about going as Sherlock Holmes that Hale had to oblige the request lest he spend the rest of the day sulking in his Pokeball. The coat had a pair of scissors taken to it to make openings for his spines to bust through and the hat was a little large for his head, but his oversized ears at the very least held it in place and he was treating the magnifying glass she had procured for him like a much-beloved toy. Next to him, Boudicca was rolling around in her usual listlessly playful manner; She didn’t have a costume, instead wearing some sort of washable yellow paint which made her look vaguely like a shark-based Pacman. There was only so much you could do with her body type, admittedly. Saladin on the other hand, she had fun dressing up; As she dithered and grumbled silently over her costume, he as admiring his own features upon the blade of a short broadsword; He seemed to be channeling a Saracen warrior from ancient Arabia with his keffiyeh, gold-embroidered clothes and kaftan---fitting for his name no doubt.
It was a strange night where the Pokemon were dressed as people and the people as Pokemon; In Hale’s case, a particularly flashy halter-top dress of deep and light grays and varying shades of blood-red meant to emulate a Zoroark. A faux fur boa with jade tassels, laced and ruffled opera gloves along with a fox-like opera mask completed the look . The skirt she didn’t mind too much—it covered every inch of her scarred legs and then some, but the top was slinky, and she wasn’t as flat-chested as she had been a few years back. Something no doubt her sister had forgotten to take into account.
“That’s what double-sided tape is for.” The brunette explained simply as she adjusted the straps of her ornate dress while they walked down the hallway past several partygoers of the male gender whose eyes made contact with her chest and then never left---it made her go red in the face swiftly as she pouted a little and briskly walked faster with the rest of her Pokemon trotting in quick movements to catch up to her.
“Ah, so that’s why you asked us to buy it earlier.” Saladin mused interestedly even as he let out a little chuckle at his Meema’s discomfort.
“You shouldn’t worry so, Hale. It looks beautiful on you.”
This made Hale stop for a moment as she blinked a few times and awkwardly stared down at the pup who was wondering vaguely if he had said something wrong.
“Thanks…” Came the small murmur as she then cleared her throat and raised the mask to her face to cover up her blush.
“Right fellas. Let’s get m----Bouda—BOUDA GET BACK HERE!”
Once more, the Pacman land shark had bolted off on her own accord after sniffing the air several times; there was a manic look on her face as she smelled sugar of some sweets wafting in the air and it was enough to bring out the shark deep within her; She didn’t need blood. She needed her sugar fix.
“Someone get a leash for this child…” Saladin grumbled as he ran after the baby with Hale hot at his heels, attempting to carry the front of her dress so she didn’t trip over the hem.
<Abadabwahsugagagagagaga!> The Gible was prattling off nonsense until she finally came to a screeching halt at a door so suddenly that Saladin, in an attempt not to crash into her tripped over himself and fell down in a heap, inciting a derisive snicker from the Sherlockian Nidoran.
The door seemed more worn than most, as though having suffered the brunt of countless raining knocks upon its once smooth lacquered surface. And yet, the sign upon it was encouraging them to knock.
Before either of them could debate on whether to knock or not, Boudicca made up their minds for them, or at the very least herself as she rammed her head into the door in a dull ‘thump!’. Once. Twice. Three times. The door was in the way of her candy, and she needed her sugar fix!

After the thumps rang in the air, the door began to creak open, only remaining slightly ajar as a cowardly middle-aged man peeked out through the crack, his fingertips curling around the door and his body hiding behind it. He whimpered as he looked down, the sight of the land shark Pokemon making his whimper and shudder.
His eyes began to turn up, daring to look at who stood outside the door and generally in the venue all together. Spotting Hale and her trio of Pokemon all dressed, the man began to visibly panic. "Oh no, oh no!" The man suddenly let go of the door, his hands reaching into his thin hair and he began to pull on it in a panicked frenzy.
"IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!"
The man reached back, grabbing a small handful of blue wrapped candies before tossing them out towards the group and retreating into the wooden box, slamming the door behind him as a series of terrified yells began to sound.

Elei had always thought he was getting a bit too big for trick or treating, but it seemed like everyone of all ages were out banging on doors and getting candy. And not any kind of candy, oh no. There were rare candies being handed out! The little treats were just what his team needed and he wasn't going to let a silly thing like his age stop him from getting them!
He hiked up the robe of his Grim Reaper costume, which was a tiny bit too long for him. He had to be careful not to trip on the thing as he moved towards the box, Hellas following behind him. He had decided to dress up his pokemon in a costume matching his own, and he thought the idea had been rather ingenious himself- a few cans of black and white spray-paint and some stencils had turned the Aron in to a little skeleton that paced after his trainer, blue eyes looking around from the large black spots painted on to his head. He thought they were both quite intimidating in their costumes, even though neither of them knew how long it would take for the Aron to return to his normal color after this... Elei was hoping a good scrubbing would remove it, or else Hellas might remain a skeleton until he evolved!
Elei gave a nervous chuckle at the thought, reaching up to knock on the box a few times. "Trick or Treat!" Hellas gave the door a little bump from his head, copying his trainer with a soft cry of happiness. Good thing the Aron didn't know that spray paint was usually hard to get off...

"Just a minute darllling!" Called a overzealous middle-aged woman, giggling excitedly as she opened the door to greet the stranger that had knocked on her door. Her face was caked with heavy make-up, garish bright blue eyeshadow covering her lids. She had applied copious amounts of mascara to her eyes. The woman's cheeks were flushed a bright red color, further accentuated by the make-up that she had applied. Her hair had recently permed, the curlers still intact. She was wearing a fuzzy lilac robe and a matching pair of fuzzy slippers, a bowl of rare candies held in her wrinkled, manicured hands. "Oh, aren't you two darling!" she cooed, giggling girlishly. She handed the boy four rare candies, grinning broadly at both him and his adorable Aron.

On these, the darkest hours of the year, the bleakest, most magical night of all, angels and devils walked hand in hand. Or, to be specific, a Trainer dressed as a haphazard angel and his Piplup, dressed as the most adorable devil you ever saw.
She had a cape and everything.
They toddled along the street, Joplin a lot more reluctantly than Mickey, though that might have something to do with the difference in height. When Mickey saw the sign, requesting him to knock, he took it as a challenge. He swerved onto the side-walk and found himself in front of the door.
"You wanna knock?"
Joplin petulantly shook her head. Mickey shrugged, rapping on the door and smiling hugely. With a nudge, he implored Joplin to follow his lead.

The door to the box burst open with the force of a small hurricane. The frazzled, apron-donning girl that had thrust the door open had slight scorch marks all over her clothes, soot smears on her face, and slightly smouldering hair to top it all off.
Her wide, incredulous eyes surveyed the gentleman who'd knocked. She shook her hands out in front of her in what seemed to be crazed frustration. "I can't believe they put that sign up every year! Don't they know my high-pressure baking system doesn't respond well to the furious pounding of every curious joker who thinks they've gotta just go and obey every sign they see?!"
Her shaking hands were quickly jammed into her apron pocket, and four little candies emerged in her fists. She threw them at the trainer in a fervour. "Take them! Take them! Ah, take them and go away, I have to go clean everything up!" And with that said, the girl abruptly slammed the door shut, shrieking to herself from within as yet another baking experiment likely failed.

On the darkest but one of the most exciting nights of the year people of every age group, gender, and race walked around disquised as different ghost and ghouls. Particularly a Trainer in a devilish costume and her Charmander pokemon dressed as a tiny wizard, he had the wand and everything.
They walked along the side walk to different houses holding their bags full of littke chocolates and such, Akira happily carried her back of phsyduck chocolate while her little pokemon swished his tail in joy right beside her. When Akira walked up and saw the sign telling her to knock, she smirked. Akira and Lio skipped up the stairs and looked around questioningly.Lio then smirked and tapped the door with his little toothpick wand thinking that it would open the door but the door just stayed shut.
Akira laughed at her pokemon's attemp and just walked up to the door and knocked twice.

At Akira's knock, the door creaked open slowly, revealing a very short little boy almost drowning in a sweater easily two times too big for him. "Wow, hi! I really like your costumes, that's so cool!"
The little boy jumped in excitement a few times, his wildly long sleeves waving to and fro as he bounced around erratically. "Man, I am so using that costume idea next year! I could totally be a wizard! Oh man that's so cooooool!"
As he was jumping, four little candies fell from his sleeves. Still starry eyed and jumping, the little boy pulled the door closed, returning to the inside of the box.
