∙General Rules∙
[/size] Noctis is semi-literate.[/b] In Noctis, we type out full sentences and describe our actions to the best of our abilities. Correct spelling and grammar is highly desired and enforced. While we understand no one is perfect, we look specifically for the effort to better ourselves.2. Respect. Use it.Your parents and peers enforced it for a reason. Be respectful of other players and remember the golden rule - treat people how you would like to be treated. Flame wars, trolling, and the general slander and bashing of other players is not permitted and is an offense that will be dealt with by banning.3. Spamming is not allowed.Spamming, as in double-posting or continuously posting non-sense for either the purpose of trolling or gaining currency is not allowed and will not be tolerated. There is no excuse for this. 4.Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. If anyone is found guilty of committing plagiarism, they will be punished accordingly. Not only is plagiarism illegal, it is prohibited on Noctis. First offense will result in a simple verbal warning. Second offense will result in a permanent warning on your account. Third offense will result in permanent banishment from Noctis. If you attempt to make an account after being banished and a staff member discovers it, we will ban your IP address. We will not tolerate plagiarism at all.5.Please refrain from harassing staff members to mod your thread or approve your character's profile application. We, as staff, are human beings. That means that we have lives outside of Noctis. It also means that we will not always be prompt and timely about approving your profiles and replying to your threads. Please take this in consideration when requesting a specific moderator to either approve your profile or mod your existing thread. A staff member will respond accordingly when they can, so please be patient. If you continue to harass a staff member, you may be given a verbal warning. This warning may or may not reflect upon your account.6.You MUST provide proper credit to any faceclaims you have used. There are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule. Stealing is an illegal offense and is strictly prohibited on Noctis. If you have been guilty of stealing another person's artwork (meaning that you have not provided credit to the original artist or you try to pass your artwork as your own), you will receive a verbal warning. This will later reflect upon your account as an official warning if the problem persists. If you have received two warnings, your account will be temporarily suspended. If you refuse to clean up your behavior after having your account suspended or if you attempt to make another account and try to pose as an entirely different person, you will be permanently banished.7. Do not use Sockpuppets. This is a fairly commonplace rule and is also very logical. If you have been banned before, or have been warned away from the site, you may not create a new account. Multiple accounts for multiple player characters is allowed, but not suggested.[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

∙Character Rules∙
[/size] Canon characters are not permitted.[/b] Characters from the Anime or games, such as Ash, Misty, etc are completely off-limits. There is also no way your character can be related to said characters. Here at Noctis, we thrive on originality and hope you see that as an opportunity rather than a set-back.2.Faceclaims are now acceptable! As of December 17, 2012, faceclaims are now acceptable! We still expect originality and creativity, however. The canon law is still in effect; it didn't simply vanish because of it. You cannot create a character that represents the character that you have decided to claim from a certain series exactly. That is considered plagiarism. That does not mean that you should not do the character justice. We want you to do the character justice. We simply do not want you to take the original creator's ideas and replicate them exactly. They have to fit into the Noctis universe somehow. Please keep this in mind when you're creating a face claim. We're not asking for much.3. Noctis is a part of its own world. That means that we are in the Pokemon world. Real everyday countries do not exist. Your character can not originate from Italy, Japan, India, or the like. They may come from other regions such as Kanto, Johto, etc, but not real-world countries. However, your character may resemble a French man, have the accent of an Indian, etcetc. We will not limit you that much.4. Mary-Sues and Gary-Stus get the death penalty. In case you have not heard the term before, a Mary-Sue or Gary-Stu is a type of character that holds no flaws. They are a perfect character, absolutely likable, attractive, and unbeatable. They often pick up skills right off the bat and, in most cases, reflect on who the creator wishes they could be.5. Be realistic.Although ironic in the world of Pokemon, make your character real. Your character will have flaws. They will not be good at everything and they will not know everything. You cannot expect a 10 year old to know the meaning of life and have seen it all. A 15 year old can't buy cigarettes. Minors cannot go into clubs and drink. Likewise, 40 year olds won't be wrinkle free and just starting out on an adventure. Also, as Pokemon and Trainer Law states, you must be 10 or older to own a Trainer's License. Think it through, folks. 6. Pokemorphs are allowed.Pokemorphs are allowed on Noctis and we are surprisingly lenient with their capabilities. Pokemorphs here are allowed to fully change into their Pokemon form, may hold some of the traits of the Pokemon (like a Jolteon has speed), and may even have instincts that their Pokemon would have. However, in turn for this, they must hold the exact weaknesses of the Pokemon as well. If you are a fire Pokemorph, you MUST have a weakness against water. If you are a Torkoal, you MUST be slow like one. Keep in mind that no Pokemorph will ever be more powerful than the Pokemon it holds the DNA of. The ratio for the allowed number of Pokemorphs is 2:1. Therefore, you may have one Pokemorph for every two humans you have. On another note, if someone is caught abusing Pokemorph abilities such as using themselves in a fight against a wild Pokemon, the abilities will be on suspension and, if it continues, they will be taken away. And on a last note, if you wish to not have so many capabilities in turn for not having so many of the weaknesses, you may do so. The more capabilities you have, the more weaknesses you obtain. Do not take this as an excuse to make a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. No shinies, no legendaries. 7. Fantasy creatures do not exist.Mythical creatures, fairies, werewolves, vampires, mummies, and the like do not exist. At least, they do not in Noctis. You can keep them in your imagination for all we care.8. There is no limit on characters. Here at Noctis, we want to give you the ability to explore your imagination and create new and different people. The amount of characters are unlimited, but it will be your responsibility to make sure they stay active.9. Your character must have a profile.Profiles will be looked over and either accepted or declined by an Administrator or G-Mod. Once it has been accepted, post the link in your signature. This is mandatory.[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

∙Roleplay Rules∙
[/size] Noctis is 100% liquid time.[/b] 'Liquid time' is the term used for the act of being at more than one place at once. Be aware that in the Journey section of Noctis, there are level ranges for what Pokemon and trainers you will find. If you are just starting out and you decide to go looking for Pokemon in Alixine City, you're going to have a bad time. You are free to make as many threads are your heart desires. Just remember - it is your responsibility to take care of them.2. Power devices.Power-playing and God-modding are strictly not allowed in Noctis. For the record: God-Modding means that the character becomes unbeatable, indestructible, or untouchable (hence being God-like). Power-playing is taking control of another person's character. To make the matter more clear when it comes to interaction, your character can go to make an action, but cannot determine whether it lands. For example, your character can throw a punch, but it's up to the opposing character to decide if it lands.3. You may hold up to six(6) Pokemon in a party.Self-explanatory.4. Each Pokemon can know up to eight(8) moves.Pretty sweet, right? 5. Each Pokemon is allowed two(2) abilities.Dream world abilities are not allowed. Only naturally obtained ones. 6. Do not request Pokemon. The Mod decides what Pokemon will appear. If you request one, you get a Magikarp.7. You must be in a town to use services. While on a route, you cannot buy items, switch your party Pokemon with ones in your PC, or heal unless by the use of items. Once you get to a town, you can restock and are automatically healed. Also, if you are training in a town, you may post that you went to the Pokemon center to heal, then returned, but NOT in the middle of a battle. It must be between matches.8. You control evolution. When your Pokemon reaches the correct level to evolve, you may do so on your own. If your Pokemon requires an item to evolve, you must purchase it first. If your Pokemon requires trading, you must pay to trade it. If your Pokemon evolves with happiness, it will automatically evolve 22 levels after its last natural evolution. Example: Golbat will evolve into Crobat at level 44. If you wish to speed up happiness evolution, seek out the help of a Breeder.9. Do not kill off another's character.Unless you have a plot going on that allows it and is agreed upon, do not kill another person's character. No exceptions.10. Humans cannot understand Pokemon.Once you have been with your Pokemon long enough, it becomes fair to make proper assumptions on what your Pokemon is saying, but otherwise, humans do not understand Pokemon. Only Pokemorphs can completely understand.11. Do not continuously dodge. When in battle, you cannot continuously dodge attacks. You must be struck at times. It is only fair. If we see that dodging it getting out of hand (without the use of accuracy decreases or evasion raisers), a number will be put on it. Do not make us do that.12. You can skip Routes.Skipping a Route is allowed, but should only be done so carefully. If your Pokemon are not strong enough, they may be kicked around by the wild Pokemon in that route. Check the level ranges first before deciding to skip a route.13. Title threads appropriately.Meaning if someone is meant to be in that thread, title the person's name in it. If it's open, put open in the title. If you need a Mod, make sure it's in the title. Example: Awesome Thread [Mod/Open].14. Pokemorphs cannot battle Pokemon, face Gym Leaders, or be caught.Pokemorphs, while holding Pokemon DNA, are still considered humanoid. Basically, in the eyes of the law, they are human while a Pokemon would be considered property (much like a pet). Because of this, no Pokemorph can EVER battle a Pokemon for EXP, capture, assisting Pokemon, or the like (the only exception to this is plot measures that do not involve benefit what-so-ever). Think of it this way - would you hit a Pikachu with a bat to try and catch it? No. It's considered cruelty. A Pokemorph facing against a Pikachu is the same thing. Pokemorphs, as they ARE considered human and are not property in the eyes of the law, cannot be captured. It's like throwing a Pokeball at a rock. Nothing will happen, because that rock is not a Pokemon. While Pokemorphs hold DNA, they are not completely and biologically a Pokemon, so it cannot happen.[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]
