A wooden stand is situated on the boardwalk with a sign above it saying 'Psychic Maria' in purple paint, as well as a depiction of a bent spoon. A middle-aged woman of slightly graying brown hair stood behind the stand, her garb colourful and heavy despite the summer heat, as her fingers twisted around a crystal ball.
Another sign is placed on the side of the stand, stating that for $500, if you answer her question with the three given choices, she may boost your Pokemon's level. Do you want to give this woman a chance with one of your Pokemon?
Approach the woman with one of your Pokemon and answer the question given to you. The answer will decide whether you gain 1, 3, or 5 levels. You may only do this once with each character.

watch your heart when we're together - - - - -boys like you love me forever "Come on, Lamont, don't be such a dick!"
<No! No way is a psychic toying with me!>
A comical display of trainer versus Pokemon began to play out in front of the Psychic's stand. The tall Houndoom pokemorph was bent over, pulling around the Aron's middle as the Aron struggled to keep himself to the ground. His weight was difficult to carry - not impossible, but difficult - and his struggling seemed to only make it worse.
"She's going to make you stronger, fuckface! Not turn you into some sort of gigantic worm!"
<Hey! It could happen!>
"Damnit Lamont!" Lilith suddenly let go of Lamont, who dropped hard to the ground with a loud 'clang!'. Tendrils of smoke began to escape through her clenched teeth before she fully parted them, a small ember of flames shooting out from her throat and landing straight on Lamont's behind, the heat causing the steel affected to turn red.
<Owowow!> Lamont cried, suddenly jerking upright and dashing to and fro, trying to use the breeze to cool his hind side as tears itched at the corner of his eyes. <Okay fine! I'll go to the stupid psychic!>
Lilith smirked and folded her arms across her chest. She turned towards the psychic who, no doubt, had been watching the display as it happened right before her stand. With a quick reach into her pocket, Lilith withdrew the fee for the Psychic and placed it onto the wooden counter. "So, can you make Lamont here any better?" Maria watched the spat between trainer and pokemon with mild amusement on her face - oh, people were always so interesting! Especially when those people were paying customers. Those were her favourite kind of people.
"Hey there, believers of the psychic arts! I sure can do my best to make your friend stronger." Maria said, a sort of dazed expression gracing her chubby face. "I need a little help from you - and you've already given me half of the help I need! Calling upon the spirits takes a bit of a sacrifice you know?" she said, her old, fading eyes going through the bills on the counter with vigour that still, somehow, seemed spaced-out.
"It doesn't take much more effort on your part though. The spirits are interested in your answer to the following, very important question. Depending on what you say, they'll give me different amounts of energy to bless your aron." Maria's eyes became even less focused as she seemed to fall in a light trance. As quickly as she'd fallen into it, she snapped out of it with a cheerful clap. "Ooh, what a good one! Alright sweetie, here's your question."
The spirits wish to ask: in the deep forests of the amazon, a tree flourishes. A choking vine climbs up its thick trunk, poisonous roots sinking through the bark and choking its life. A friendly treedweller makes its home here with the vine, immune to its poison. The tree, however, produces a sap that will knock the animal unconscious and prone to other predators. The treedweller eats the vine's rich berries, but slowly kills the vine in the process. If you were to be one of these players, who would you be? > Tree > Vine > Treedweller
"Yep, that's what they want to know." Maria stated plainly, her dazed look returning to her lightly wrinkled face.

watch your heart when we're together - - - - -boys like you love me forever What the hell kind of question was that? Lilith blinked as the stared at the psychic, waiting for her to say something else, perhaps along the line of "just kidding, here's the real one". But no, nothing like that happened. Instead there was just an awkward silence.
Lamont was completely dumbfounded by the question which was clear by the blank look on his face. Lilith understood it, but frankly didn't see how this question proved any use what-so-ever. She mulled over the question, her eyes looking up towards the left as she tried to figure out which answer she would pick.
"The vine." Lilith finally answered, looking back at the psychic. "I'll go with the poison one." WORDS: n/a EXP: 000/000 NOTES: n/a [/div] TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.[/center]

"Such an interesting choice! Yes, I think it is." Maria nodded quietly, mulling over the houndoom morph's response in her mind. "I must confer with the spirits now, and they will deliver me the energy to bless your partner with." she said matter-of-factly, slipping back into her wide-eyed meditative stance. A few moments passed. A small twitch formed at the corner of her eye and it looked like she may start to drool any minute.
All of a sudden, Maria snapped back to reality. "Excellent! I've been given the energy to bless your aron with one level! Thank you for your continued patronage and have a nice day." Maria said with a smile, taking a seat and gazing off into the distance.
