The Summer Festival has gone underway in the Noctis region. Large kites soared in the cloudless skies as the sun beat down strong on the beach goers. Many food and novelty stands had been set up, attracting large quantities of people, as well as a face-painting stand, a beer tent, games, and of course, the clear waters were open to swim in. Umbrellas and chairs were set up along the shore as people played, tanned, frolicked, and swam.

watch your heart when we're together - - - - -boys like you love me forever While the beach was mainly filled with groups of friends or families, Lilith was flying solo on this occasion. The Houndoom had made herself comfortable on the warm beach by laying out on her stomach on a beach towel with her bag at her side, no umbrella, no cooler, nothing else.
<There's sand EVERYWHERE!>
Well, with the exception of her loud Pokemon.
Figuring that there was plenty to do far away from her, Lilith had the idea that if she let them out, they would find something to do on their own and leave her to her sun bathing. Upon release, they didn't stray too far. Instead, the Ponyta rested at her side, seeming to also enjoy the simple but wonderful feeling of the beating sun and warm sands beneath him. The Aron who made the loud exclamation was frolicking about, albeit not very quickly, with his Dratini and Taillow companions.
"Are you fucking high?" Lilith spat as she looked at Lamont through her large sunglasses, her face at level with his own now that she was lying on the ground. "This is a beach, idiot."
Lamont tilted his head, unsure of the previous phrase, which kept him from being phased by the second. As soon as the Dratini, Lucidia, slinked by him as a gesture to continue their play, he didn't let it stay on his mind any longer and instead continued to try and quicken himself to the Dratini's speed while Winoa flew overhead.
Lilith scoffed, watching the trio scuttle around not too far ahead of her, before pulling at the back tie of her bikini. Like hell if she would get tan lines on her perfect caramel skin. She returned her hands to under her cheek before relaxing herself further, exhaling as she did so. "It would be perfect if there were no screaming kids about and if I had a nice, tall drink."
<Is booze all you ever think about, predator?> The quiet Ponyta finally pipped up. He was more mature than the other three and never took to speaking when words weren't necessary.
"Shut up." Lilith commented, narrowing her brows at Marshall without changing her position. "If you were a human, you'd understand."
<You're not human.>
"Closer than you. Besides, it's not all I think about. The other stuff is just too raunchy for your ears."
<You disgust me, predator.>

The heat is unbearable. It oppresses the mind, nulls the senses. The absol morph wasn't designed for such climates; poor baby, he simply isn't cut out for the tropics, but he ignores the mind-numbing temperatures and continues onward anyway. It's the summer festival, after all, and the beach isn't as far as he had previously thought; he can see the hordes of people now, can almost picture the gorgeous tropical blue water. Midnight pants like an overheated animal, his body incapable of producing real sweat. Wasn't designed for sweating, either, despite his humanoid DNA.
The mismatched crew of teammates flock at his ankles, little Lily's silver tongue is temporarily silenced for now. She's panting too and so is Bob, the bipedal rodents aren't cut out for the heat either, Middy realizes. The only one that seems to be truly enjoying the climbing temperatures is Mr. Todd, his upturned nose reaching new heights as he trots ahead of the others, practically humming a tune. Lily bores a pair of phantom rays into the back of the snivy's head, silently wishing him the worst death imaginable. They descend over a crest, follow a disjointed path to the beach and when they finally reach the sandy shores, Midnight pauses to assess the crowd. There's people everywhere; they litter the beach like actual garbage, sun-bathing, tanning, sprawled on their bellies, sprawled on their backs, laughing, talking, watching their children, chiding them for going too far. People, everywhere, in all shapes and in all sizes -- their ages ranging from infant to elderly adult, and all of them are there, enjoying the sun. All of them, blocking his path to the water. Shit, he thinks, the only coherent thought on his mind.
Standing on the fringes of the real activity, he decides to hell with it and plows on. He steps over sprawled bodies, ignores the complaining parties he leaves in his wake, and when he's close enough to the water he sprints; nevermind the people strewn across the beach, nevermind their pokemon counterparts joyously frolicking along the shores, nevermind the fact that his foot somehow collides with something resembling a small boulder and the fact that he's suddenly airborne, literately diving through the air and then bam, lights out, douchenozzle as his face connects with the gritty, compact sand as the waters lap at his partially submerged face. Some people take notice and laugh, a few are startled by the spectacle, and his pokemon burst collectively into boisterous laughter. Fuck, he thinks now, raising his face from the sand, a headache blooming in his forehead immediately as he splutters and gasps in sea water. Not exactly the entrance he really wanted to make, but okay. He swallows some water by accident, grunts, and then shakes off the mess from his face to look around at the culprit that tripped him up and ruined his long-awaited reunion with joyous hydration. He settles on the little aron, since it's the only thing that fits; he's surprised he didn't twist his ankle or something. Scowling, Middy allowed himself a few throbbing moments to simply look like a dumbass and then gradually rises, dusting himself off like look folks, I'm fine, look how fine I am, brushing the whole deal off. A kid has a video camera's and he's recording the whole ordeal, smiling wolfishly behind the lenses. Midnight only notices it at the last minute, catching the device out of the corner of his eye. He stares, dumbfounded, into the camera for several seconds before realizing that he's on film. Well, this day certainly wasn't going according to plan so far.

. . . . . . . The beach was surprisingly not as horrible as Anton had suspected. Sure, it was crowded. Sure, it was noisy. Sure, there were kids kicking sand everywhere, and adults ignoring them in favour of soaking up the sun, and pokemon screeching and cawing and mewing and chittering every which way he looked.
But, he had scored a spot in the shade. He felt pretty satisfied with the territory he'd managed to stake out for his own personal lounging. There were a few large poplar trees spattering the sandy face of the beach, and while most of them were full to the brim with people, he'd managed to keep his own, relatively smaller patch of shade, free from interlopers with the aid of his insane spearow Blitzkrieg. Whenever someone seemed to be inching a little to close to his shady patch with their party, he'd let the frenzied little freak out for a few minutes, and everyone would be all to happy with leaving the shady patch be.
Galahad, the temperate opposite to his deranged feathered fiend, was currently lounging in the shade next to him. It was clear enough that his true interest lay in the water, but that prospect seemed a little bleak. Anton didn't express much interest in fighting through the crowds to get to the water. The shade wasn't so bad on the squirtle, though. At least it was nice and cool.
Anton was quite content in surveying the crowd from his haphazardly strewn towel. He'd long since kicked off his flip flops and buried his feet in the warm sand at the edge of his shade. A houndoom morph had set up shop a bit further down the beach, her pokemon doing a decent job at keeping the crowd around her quite thin. Her mean-set face probably didn't hurt either.
"Hey, check that out, some mild entertainment, finally." Anton said with a chuckle, nudging his squirtle and gesturing toward the absol morph that had gracelessly tripped over the houndoom girl's aron and sent himself tumbling toward the drink. "Decent recovery at least. Wow, that was sure something." he said with another short chuckle. Galahad barely batted an eyebrow over the display.
Anton stared at his partner, shrugging at his response. "Whatever. I thought it was funny." Words: n/a exp: n/a

watch your heart when we're together - - - - -boys like you love me forever Physically, Lamont had been barely phased by the Absol that had tripped over him. His heavy weight made sure that it would take more to knock the little ball of steel over. Emotionally, however, Lamont was struck. Seeing the giant Absol-man (giant in his perspective) hit the sandy shallows none-too-gracefully, Lamont cowered. Once the Absol rose, Lamont shuffled back into Lucidia, the both of them staring upwards. Winoa, having been one of the crowd that had laughed, took off and decided to conceal herself behind Marshall's fiery mane.
<I-I-I'm so sorry! Please don't hurt me!> Lamont pushed himself lower to the sand, his chin sinking into the grains. Oh how he wished he was bigger and not so far away from the faces of those that acknowledged him.
One of the last few laughs to die down lied with the Houndoom. Hearing the body hit the ground, she had lifted her head, watching behind her sunglasses. A voice from a short distance behind her had also found the spectacle to be amusing and, curious as to what face matched the voice, she briefly looked over her shoulder, smirking at the fluffy-haired man, before turning back to the view.
Only when the Absol rise did Lilith realize that she had already been acquainted with him. While it was a meeting that was cut short by the intrusion of a stuck up girly-boy, it was still a meeting none-the-less.
"Looks like you've fallen for me." Lilith laughed, perching her chin in one hand, her other arm lying before her on the towel. "And, you know, the whole beach." WORDS: n/a EXP: 000/000 NOTES: n/a [/div] TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

Midnight paused at the sight of the groveling pokemon, clearly uncertain as to how to react. How could he possibly hurt the aron? Unless he somehow learnt how to belch flames by sheer will, the possibility was actually improbable. "Uh, it's alright, little man," he said awkwardly, his attention half-directed towards the aron and half-directed towards the rest of the beach. It took a sheer amount of concentration to divide his attention like this, but he somehow managed without his brain inwardly imploding. With his mind racing to catalog the blur of faces openly mocking him for future reference, just in case he just so happened to run into one of them in an entirely different scenario by "accident." Being so preoccupied with this effort, he didn't immediately notice the presence of the houndoom morph -- although it was quite obvious that she had noticed him -- and so it took him at least a full minute to react. When he did, however, the embarrassment that he obviously felt was almost palpable; although it was impossible for him to blush, it was possible for him to falter mid-sentence (almost as badly as he had faltered mid-run). "I, what -- that -- that wasn't the original plan, no, but uh, hey," he said rapidly, stammeringly, and almost hit himself for acting like such a pathetic teenager on his first date. He had definitely not been expecting to see her again so soon -- and it showed. His whole demeanor changed; his movements were jerky and uncertain, as if he didn't know what to do in this situation -- and for the most part, he didn't. His merry band of cackling deviants had gradually approached to enjoy front row seats to the show and were not disappointed as they drew nearer, Lily clasping Todd's paw in hers as she pranced onto the scene. Todd did his best to resist, but the effort was minimal and it only caused the chipper minun to tighten her grip. Bob lagged behind, preferring to put some distance between the duo. <Oh, mister suave, oh!> Lily chattered, cackling madly. Todd shrunk behind her at the presence of the houndoom morph, his fear tangible and stark in relief next to Lily's overconfidence. She didn't seemed the least bit swayed by the fire-type's type advantage. She was too busy enjoying the show to care much, either way. Midnight, on his part, chose to ignore the sarcasm evident in his pokemon's quipping remark. Bob, less than a feet from the others, whistled loudly. <Hot-diggety-dog!> he said, obviously referring to Lilith. The patrat nearly swooned on the spot, obviously awed by her dangerous beauty. Midnight, again, refused to react.

. . . . . . . Anton laughed again, his throaty chuckle more audible this time. Looked like someone on the beach had actually run into this guy before - that was interesting. The guy's pokemon were approaching the houndoom girl and her crowd now. Looked like this trip would at least prove useful for some quality entertainment.
"Gal, come on, watch this, this is definitely gonna be hilarious. Look at these guys. That patrat looks awestruck or something." he said, nudging Galahad enthusiastically. The squirtle gave a noncommittal glance over toward the growing group of beach-goers, still seemingly more interested in his nap than any confrontations. "Kay, whatever I guess."
As Anton watched the beach scene unfold, the pokeball resting at his feet gave a little shake. It rocked back and forth, its movements small and slight at first, gradually building into a rattle until the crazed little spearow burst from the ball, jumping and flapping madly around the small towel.
"Shit!" Anton shouted, scrambling for the bird's burst pokeball. It skidded across the sand slightly before he managed to get a solid grip on it. With an aggressive lunge, Anton called the frenzied bird safely back into the pokeball, choosing to stow it in his nearby backpack instead of leaving it out on the beach.
He gave a quick glance around the beach at several onlookers who'd been staring at the display - including his own unbothered squirtle. He gave a grand, overemphasized shrug before plopping himself back on his towel and assuming his best unrattled posture. Words: exp:

watch your heart when we're together - - - - -boys like you love me forever Lilith was clearly amused by Midnight's horrible attempt at redeeming himself, her lips twisting into a cruel smirk. It was definitely a different demeanor he held compared to the coyness he had given her when they had their first encounter.
Just as she was moving her hands behind her back to re-tie her bikini strings, which she accomplished rather quickly, she couldn't help but let out a short laugh at the Patrat and his less than graceful greeting to her, but payed no more attention to it than that.
The smirk on her face quickly disappeared as she heard a loud, raspy squawk come from behind her, paired with the sound of flapping wings. Lilith pushed herself from her towel and sat herself up on her legs, looking behind her to see what the commotion was. She had only caught the end sight of the display, seeing a bird getting sucked into a Pokeball with a brilliant flash of light. Even though his scrambling seemed to catch the attention of some beach-goers, he still managed to sit back like if it was nothing.
"Seems like everyone is making a spectacle of themselves today." Lilith toyed, giving the man with the unamused Squirtle a looking over. She wasn't really sure what to make of him in terms of how attractive he was to her. He was caught somewhere in a middle line but hey, he had two feet and a heartbeat, and that was good enough. She gave Anton a playful wink, her smirk reappearing on her face. "What's your name, love?"
Seeing as how the Absol didn't reach down and take a giant bite out of Lamont, completely disregarding that he was made of metal, him and Lucidia exchanged looks before setting their sights on the Squirtle. He seemed bored, perhaps tired, but they could surely wake him up! The playful duo scuttled along the sand, passing by the serious Marshall in the process, and allowed themselves to come up close to the Squirtle.
<Hiya!> The Dratini chirped, a grin spreading across her face. <What's your name? Do you wanna play with us? Do ya, do ya?> WORDS: n/a EXP: 000/000 NOTES: n/a [/div] TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

. . . . . . . Anton turned to look at the houndoom morph addressing him. Anton knew a couple girls back home that dressed similarly and had the same air about them that the houndoom girl did - in fact, there probably wasn't anyone back home that didn't know them. They had a bit of a reputation, and word travels fast in a small town.
Anton propped himself in a more comfortable position that let him face the houndoom a little better and brushed a hand through his hair lazily before finally responding. "Name's Anton Folke. I don't really make spectacles, they kind of just follow me around." he said, gesturing in the general direction of his backpack. "And who're you?"
Galahad slowly raised his head up from where it had been resting, not quite ready to be roused by his newfound visitors. The dratini seemed really excited to be at the beach, and despite being recently tripped over, the aron seemed in good spirits too. <Hey,> he greeted, making a grand show of stretching before turning to face the pair. <My trainer calls me Galahad. As for playing, I'm enjoying just chillin' here in the shade. You guys are welcome to join though.> Galahad looked over toward the minun and snivy, still standing a little ways away on the sand. <You could always see what those two are up to, if you're not too keen on naps. They look pretty lively.> he chortled lightly. Words: exp:

Apparently Midnight wasn't the only fool at the beach. This should have been comforting information, and it would have been, it should have been, if it hadn't averted the unknown (and automatically sexy) houndoom 'morphs attentions from him. Bob, his drooling patrat, decided to turn the tables and cop a feel, sidling non-too-subtlety up to the fire-breathing wench and immediately placing a paw onto her firm buttocks, not even taking a second to consider the consequences (which would undoubtedly be dire) of his actions. <It's so warm!> he cried fervently, stroking it. Midnight stood there and stared for at least five seconds, gawking. "What the hell, man?" Middy cried, deftly scooping up his obscene little pokemon, who cried out in surprise as he was abruptly picked up and flung a considerable distance away. "What is your problem? You can't do that kind of shit!" Middy cried out to his pokemon, who seemed, for the most part, too preoccupied with his own perverted thoughts to recognize the fact that someone was actually scolding him. Lily let loose another slew of wild cackling. Mr. Todd shuddered, obviously distressed. He hadn't wanted to participate in the activities at the beach -- he hadn't wanted to even come here, but unfortunately his desires weren't taken under consideration. Midnight shook his head, appearing disgusted when he was actually wondering how the hell the patrat actually had the nerve to attempt such a suicidal feat. "Damn, I'm really sorry about that," he immediately apologized for his pokemon's actions - mainly because he was the only one who would. The whole fiasco had momentarily averted his attention from the other male in the vicinity, and the only one that caught sight of the abrupt release of the fearsome spearow was Todd, who immediately tried to curl himself into the smallest ball possible and began to tremble. Lily glanced over at him, cocked an eyebrow, poked him with a finger, realized he wasn't going to humor her, and then glanced up in the direction that he was previously looking. She didn't see anything to be frightened about - only a couple of squirts that seemed to be staring at her band - and stared at Todd for a couple of seconds before losing interest and skipping off towards the direction of the kids who would most likely provide her with some entertainment, grinning all the while.

watch your heart when we're together - - - - -boys like you love me forever Just as Lilith was about to introduce herself, she was interrupted by the feeling of a small paw stroking at her behind. Just as she was about to reach behind her to grab the annoying Patrat by the scruff, the Absol had already taken care of him and had tossed him a short distance away.
Lilith looked up towards the Absol who had been apologizing to her. She scoffed, taking a quick glance at the distant Patrat before looking back up at Midnight. "If he comes near me again, I can't promise that I won't light him on fire."
With the short fiasco dealt with, Lilith turned her attention once again to the man sitting at the base of the tree who had called himself Anton. It wasn't a name she had heard before, so she wasn't sure what to make of it, just like how she wasn't sure what to make of this guy in general. It was a little infuriating, not being able to read someone like a book (although she was pretty sure that he was lazy, considering that he made no motion that he didn't have to make). Still, she hid that feeling very well.
"Lilith Hallows." She introduced with a flirtatious smile, batting her lashes once.
<She's lying, her name is predator.> The one silent Ponyta piped up, not seeming to mind that Winoa had made his back her perch.
"Your name will be horse steak if you don't shut up." Lilith snapped her head towards the Ponyta that lied next to her, scowling, although Marshall didn't seem to phased. Brave horse.
On the thought of names, Lilith turned her attention towards the Absol, taking a moment to think before she spoke. "I don't think you've even told me your name."
<Is it customary for you to not learn the names of those you have aimed to sleep with?>
Lilith snapped towards Marshall once more, an audible canine growl emitting from her throat, making Marshall only shudder slightly from the fight-or-flight instinct.
<Keepin' classy.>
"Spectacles don't follow me. Asshats do." Lilith commented, playing off of Anton's previous phrase.
The duo of Pokemon seemed a little disheartened at Galahad's lack of interest in playing with them. <Oh, um.> Lamont began, unsure how to react to an offer as uninteresting to him as napping. <I-I think I'll pass.>
Just as the Squirtle gestured to the other Pokemon, one of them, a Minun, had begun making it's way to the group of Pokemon. She seemed in more high spirits than the Squirtle. Perhaps she would want to play?
Turning his attention towards the Minun, Lamont squinted his eyes shut happily. <Hi! I'm Lamont and this is Lucidia. Do you want to play with us?> WORDS: n/a EXP: 000/000 NOTES: n/a [/div] TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

. . . . . . . Anton chuckled to himself as Lilith spun around in reaction to the insolent patrat. This beach trip was proving to be pretty decent entertainment. He supposed that was one thing the thick crowd was good for - it probably wouldn't be too difficult to slink off if he got bored with his current company.
He resisted the urge to smirk as the houndoom girl blinked seductively. Oh yes - this girl was definitely like those few girls back home, right down to her teeny, stringy bathing suit. She was interesting, at least. "That guy seems to know you." he said, nodding toward Midnight. "But you don't know his name? What's his story?"
The two pokemon who had approached Galahad seemed to be leaving. He wasn't sure what the squirtle had said to them to get them too back off so quickly, but it seemed to have been effective. "You're not being a dick, are you?" Anton muttered, picking up the squirtle and placing him on the retreating aron's back. Galahad didn't make much of a protest. "Take him to the water. He knows he wants to go for a swim."
Galahad shrugged noncommittally, looking a slight bit irritated at being removed from the shade and thrust into the heat, but still appeared willing to go with the flow as usual. <Might as well I guess.> Words: exp:

“Or you could cook him for dinner – I don’t think he’d care much either way,” Midnight agreed upon realizing how little his pokemon cared about such trivial things as being eaten. The rodent was still deluding himself with his wildly inappropriate fantasies, literately drooling into the sand. It was a pathetic sight at best. When the subject of names inevitably cropped up, Midnight flashed her a smile – which immediately faltered when the question of why they hadn’t properly introduced themselves before followed behind it. “His story,” the absol morph interjected before Lilith could edge a word in, gesturing towards his jeans. “is much more colorful than yours.”
<Meaning, of course, that his genitals are all the colors of the rainbow due to all the sexual diseases that he’s accumulated,> Lily clarified so that there would be no doubt on the matter, cracking a very sharp grin at the other pokemon present as her audience. Midnight shot her a dreadful look that rarely made an appearance on his face but Lily simply ignored it, evidently capable of shrugging off something so horribly withering. <And my name, precious children, is Lily!> she supplied with a curtsy, still grinning away. <I would love to play with you, of course,> she said, noting the sudden (and admittedly reluctant) appearance of the squirtle in their colorful little posse. <You as well, if you so choose to join us,> she said, gesturing towards the squirtle. <What amazing games shall we play, eh?> she asked, little paws clasped behind her back.

watch your heart when we're together - - - - -boys like you love me forever Lilith could only let out a slight laugh as the Absol took over the explanation on how the two were acquainted. If Anton wanted to figure out the story, he could try and take a ride himself to put together the pieces, because she wasn't going to give the details.
It was starting to become apparent to Lilith that he wasn't going to get a name from the Absol. It was slightly irritating, but nothing she couldn't handle. She would simply have to bestow a name upon him, one with a certain ring, a certain charm...
"Ain't that the truth, douchenozzle."
Yep, that would work.
Lilith turned her attention towards Anton. This one she didn't know as well as douchenozzle, not that she really knew him at all. She very obviously gave him a looking over, deciding if he should be her next target or not. At least he would be nice to toy with, even for a little while.
"So Anton, got a girlfriend?" Lilith asked teasingly. It wouldn't have mattered if he did or not. If they strayed with her advances, then it was their fault, not hers. It's not like she forced them to cheat on their significant others, she just made a very strong suggestion.
<Wha--> Lamont was surprised when the trainer had placed Galahad on his back. Well, okay. He supposed their play would take them close to the water. It's not like more weight added onto the Aron did much to him, anyways.
<It's nice to meet you Lily! And um, I guess we can go to the shore first...> Lamont said as he attempted to look towards his back at his new passenger, but his body structure didn't quite allow it. He began to made his steady way towards the water, Lucidia dumbfounded, but eventually slithering by his side.

Anton stared at the absol morph a moment before chuckling lightly again and shaking his head. "Nevermind, I bet it's a great story." The absol seemed to be pretty jumpy with Lilith. There was probably something interesting leading up to that - a whole two-piece puzzle of a mystery for sure, Anton thought. She'd probably toyed around with him. Or almost, at least.
"No, actually, I'm totally up for grabs on the market. One of those obscure sales you might find in the back next to one of those ratty old lamps the seller is claiming to be a 'rare antique' and some strange salted meat of questionable origin." he joked, lounging back even further into the sand-pillowed towel of his. He figured he could tease a bit more entertainment out of this girl yet. "Why?"
Galahad lounged lazily on his new resting place on the aron's back. He supposed as far as lounging spots were, getting a free ride out of one wasn't a bad deal. It was pretty uncomfortably sweltering in the sun, though. <Hey Lily. I guess I'll be joining you guys?> he shrugged, eyeing the water with passing interest. Maybe if he got out to sea far enough, the crowd wouldn't bother him as much. <Let's go skip stones or something. Or just float in the water. Watch the clouds. Tell stories.>
