Anna stared at the stone colored clouds blotting out the sun, a joyous promise to the needed rain. Her moon grey eyes shined with happiness as a small drop of rain plopped onto her nose. The still dry grass crunched slightly underfoot, soon it began to feel dewy. Anna stared at the sky and whispered to the lightly raining sky "Here's to you mama." Her eyes seemed to fill with tears, feeling thankful for the covering drizzle. Soon tears were streaming down her face as the rain picked up, soaking her to the bone.
She shifted herself and stopped, her stomach rumbling, and pulled out a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Anna accidentally dropped a plastic bag of poffins that she and her brother had made the night before. She sat down and, oblivious to the Pokémon breaking into the bag began to eat her lunch. Anna broke a piece off and tossed it over to a pitiful looking Pichu. "Here you go little one." She said in a soft singsong voice and pulled out an oran berry, handing it to the Pichu she said "Now I really must go, okay?"[/silver] Anna said patting it gently on the head.
She stood up slowly and trekked on, the rain now pelting her like hail and the wind whipping up her brown hair. Thank goodness for the fast ride on Jacob's Ursaring, she probably wouldn't even be in Cassiopeia Village by now. She saw the lab in the distance and began to run towards it, "Yes! Mama, I'm almost there." she whispered as a few Starlys flew over head. Anna tripped over a stone and fell face flat into some mud "Oh well." she muttered, but swore under her breath. Anna brushed herself off and picked up her pace unaware that the Pichu was following her.
Her soft grey eyes shone as she approached the door, being able, now, to see the rudimentary details. She pulled her trainer card out and her work ID, tentatively she knocked on the door. The knock resonating in a pitiful little echo frightening her travel companion. It cried out, brining Anna's attention to the Pichu "What are you doing here?" she whispered. She turned around and was about to bring it back to the meadow of glee when she heard a minute click and spun around. "Oh, Hello! I'm Anna, I'm here to pick out a Pokémon." she said trying hard to hide the Pichu behind her.
