∙Newbie's Survival Guide∙
Hey there, you must be new, or just feeling lost! Otherwise, why would you have clicked this? There are a whole bunch of rules threads in Noctis - and yeah, it's really strongly advised you read them - but they can be pretty overwhelming for a new kid like yourself, most likely. Plus, there isn't really one to tell you how to get started, is there?
Well, look no further for a solution! Here is a good summary of what you need to do to get started. If you have any questions at all, or something isn't clear, feel free to post in the help section and a mod will answer your question, OR, scroll down to the chatbox and post it there! Someone will help you out.
Without further ado, here's what you need to get done:

- Create a Character
- Pick up your Starter
- Begin your Journey
- Have FUN!
Whew, seems like a lot of stuff, doesn't it? No worries, dudebro, we are going to get through this one baby step at a time. Let me help you out. :)
1. Introduce yourself
Now of course, this isn't totally necessary, but we love greeting our newbies! If you wanted to post a blurb about yourself and say hi to the people of Noctis, head on over to the introduction board. Seriously, we'd love to know anything about yourself you'd like to share.
2. Read the Rules
Like any moderated roleplay board you come across, Noctis has plenty of rules to help keep everything rolling smoothly. It is strongly advised that you check out the rules threads and give them a good looking over before starting on your character. It may seem like a lot, but most rules are self-explanitory. It shouldn't take you look to look them over - plus, it'll save you a lot of edits when you start your character!
Reading the rules will save you from getting in trouble over dumb things and it instantly makes you 10% cooler.
3. Create a Character
Ok, so you've introduced yourself and read all those things. Now what?
Well, now it's time to create your character of course! Since you've read all the rules, you know that you can only have a limited number of pokemorph characters, and that if you ware a pokemorph, you can't be shiny/legendary, right? And you know all sorts of obvious things like you can't start with a premade pokemon party, right? Of course you do!
You can start making your character by working off of this template. Post your profile in the application board and wait for it to be evaluated by a mod. If you are declined, simply make the necessary edits suggested by the mod, and ask to be re-evaluated. Simple, right? Once you're accepted, you can go and get your first pokemon.
4. Pick up your Starter
This really is as simple as it gets. Go to the Professor Trio's Lab and start up a roleplay thread to obtain your starter. Based on your roleplay skill, you will be allowed to choose from basic, standard, or advanced starters. Just write your best. Whatever you get to choose from, is what you get.
5. Begin your Journey
It's time to travel Noctis. It is suggested you take a look at the map, and see what is and isn't an option for you. Watch out for areas of high levelled pokemon if you are just starting out! Since you start in the Lab, you can either hang out in Winchester for a bit, head to the Meadow of Glee, or cut right to the chase and get on Route 1. Whatever you choose is up to you, and your character's additude.
6. Have Fun!
